Gelato Village produces fresh, artisan gelato using the traditional Italian mantecazione method. Our award-winning gelato recipes are all developed in-house using the finest seasonal ingredients. This includes our milk, the basis for all of our gelato, which comes from a single herd of rare breed Red Poll cows at Belvoir Ridge Creamery in Leicester.
As well as sourcing the best local produce, we also directly import the best quality ingredients that are not available in this country. For example, each year we work directly with a producer on the Amalfi Coast who grows incredible quality PGI Sfusato lemons, which we use in sorbetto as well as our homemade cake selection.
We have a mobile cabinet which we can take to events. Outside of Leicester we can bring 200 servings of gelato, and within the city we can cater to larger numbers as we can replenish the cabinet throughout the day.
